Bonsai Cat Petition

What is Bonsai Cat Petition ?

By definition, a bonsai tree is a tree in a pot if we literally translate the word bonsai from Japanese to English. This art of plant making was developed in China a long time ago. Contrary to how the modern human sees the bonsai, these plants were considered of utmost importance during those early times. The bonsai art was developed to easily transport herbal plants from one place to another. You see, moving actual acacia or maple trees for medical purposes is quite difficult compared to transporting their potted versions. This was actually a breakthrough technology that sent the Chinese herbal medicine science into a well-deserved boom. It got its start in China, but also has famous schools in both Japanese and Korean stylings.

You can buy a Bonsai pot from virtually any plant shop but make sure it has adequate drainage and preferably has little feet on it to allow the water to drain away and also allow a good level of airflow. Using a soil consisting of half organic matter and half grit will allow a good level of drainage while still giving the plant the anchorage it will need in it’s shallow pot.

Bonsai need to be repotted frequently. The roots start to become entwined and impacted. When the roots become too dense there generally is not enough soil around the root system to keep it moist. The bonsai will not continue to grow in these conditions. The decision on how often to repot depends entirely on its growth. Some bonsai grow faster than others so when you decide to repot remove the plant and root from the ground. Clip away any of the smaller root system and repot the plant in a larger container.

It is important that the color of the pot compliments the tree.

Leaves must also be in proportion of the tree. Leaves can be reduced in size depending on the species of tree you have decided to make in bonsai. The possibility of reducing the leaves size will dictate the size the bonsai will have. For example the Norway maple produce very big leaves so if you want to make it in a bonsai you would need to make it a big bonsai since a 15 centimeter bonsai would have leaves half it size.

Roots must be trimmed with very sharp scissors to prevent them from running out of growing space. It is recommended that you trim the roots to about two thirds of their current length. While you are doing this it is a good idea to eliminate a few older roots and a few of the younger roots. Just be sure you leave enough roots to support the tree.

Some species need to be pruned at the beginning of growth season to stunt growth. Other species need to be pruned at the end of growing season to leave fewer roots leaves and branches prior to the dormant period.

When it comes to planting your seed or sapling you can either plant it outside in the garden or try to pot-it-up inside. It really depends on the time of year and how quickly you want your Bosai to become established. Obviously trees grow outside, so logically the best place initially for your Bonsai seed or sapling would be in the garden. However, if you are planting during the winter months nothing is going to grow until spring when the soil is warmer and your seed or saplings breaks from dormancy. Therefore, you may prefer to artificially stimulate warmer conditions by growing your seed or sapling indoors.

To simulate age and maturity in a bonsai, deadwood features called "jin" and "shari" can be used to good effect with coniferous bonsai, especially: "jin" are created by removing the bark from an entire branch to create a snag of deadwood, while "shari" involves stripping bark from areas of the trunk, simulating natural scarring by limbs being torn free.

Bonsai Cat Petition Tidbits

In ancient Japan, the art of bonsai sculpting emerged. Normally we think that bonsai trees are small by their nature, however this is not the case. The bonsai tree artist has to prune and train these ordinary trees and plants to achieve the desired effect. The mini bonsai takes this concept even further and is so small that one could fit in your pocket. It may be a surprise to know that to create a miniature bonsai you do not need to use a traditional bonsai plant. If you do your research you will find there are lots of other species that are suitable. Looking after your mini bonsai needn’t be more difficult to look after than a regular bonsai. Keep caring for the mini bonsai in the same way as a regular bonsai. For instance, don’t treat your mini deciduous bonsai any differently from your regular deciduous bonsai. Keep the same watering habits and use the exact same soil. The only real difference between caring for your mini bonsai is you require a much smaller pot. This does not mean you should neglect your repotting duties however. Remember that if you are repotting you should avoid doing this within a month either side of pruning. Your don’t want to cause your bonsai any shock. Make sure you have read up on how much sun your bonsai variety needs. If they are given too much or too little sun this could cause them to become unhealthy or even die. Make sure that the soil does not dry out during the hotter months by giving them more shade. If you enjoy growing and looking after bonsai trees, it is suggested that you read up as much as you can on the subject. Joining a club is a great way to share tips and make friends. If there are no bonsai clubs in your area, why not start one? Today bonsai care has become a very popular hobby for some who maintain the spiritual connection with nature. To maintain bonsai, a good set of tools such as pliers, root trimmers, shears, and branch cutters are required.

People enjoy gardening and use it as a way of relaxing and getting in contact with something bigger than themselves. Everyone does it at some stage of their life. That doesn’t mean to say everyone has to try the same type of gardening. Why not try something unusual and grow a bonsai tree? A bonsai may have areas of dead wood to give an impression of age. Most trees require several hours of direct or slightly filtered sun every day.

Many people think that growing bonsai is very hard but in actual fact, it is only hard if you do not have the correct knowledge and guidance... when you possess those things... it is easy. When you take the time and effort to grow a bonsai tree, you get a nice sense of satisfaction, however, that can be ruined by not giving your tree perfect placement in order to let it's beauty shine through. It not only take’s much patience to properly raise a bonsai but also a good amount of artistic skill as well. It’s time-consuming and there is a lot more to it than one might think. You could say that a bonsai is the marriage between plant and container and is the bond to create a distinct and lovely picture of nature in miniature form.
