What is Type Of Bonsai Tree ?

Miniature trees are originally rooted in the mountains of China where only a specific species of plants and trees grow. Because of its hostile weather conditions the trees were often stunted and contorted. The strong mountain winds also left these trees twisted in ice and the cold. Essentially it is nature that has rendered the inspiration for the art of potting trees as students of the art do their best to mimic what nature has created. By “training” trees through specialized means of pruning and shaping them to a desired height and structure these students of the art were able to recreate the sample nature has provided. This art of plant making was developed in China a long time ago. Contrary to how the modern human sees the bonsai, these plants were considered of utmost importance during those early times. The bonsai art was developed to easily transport herbal plants from one place to another. This was actually a breakthrough technology that sent the Chinese herbal medicine science into a well-deserved boom. The major aspects of Japanese bonsai, has not changed significantly over time.

Again in the case of the cascade style the pot should be placed on the edge of the stand or table to provide room for the bending foliage of the bonsai.

Use a Bonsai fork to comb out the roots. Do this by combing out the roots from underneath, and then use scissors to prune up to a third of the roots, and then cut out small wedges around the root base to allow fresh soil to collect and keep your Bonsai healthy. Add a layer of grit to the bottom of the pot and then add the Bonsai compost of your choice.

Pruning the branches and the roots is necessary when miniaturizing a tree. Pruning is done to shape or style the tree. This will remove unwanted branches and roots. When the bonsai tree or plant is already in good shape pruning is done to maintain the style and shape. Pruning is done in spring. Pruned areas are treated with a special chemical to protect the wound area, and hasten the healing process.

The growth of the roots is affected by your pruning of the branches and leaves. Heavy branch pruning slows the growth of the root system. In this case there are fewer leaves and branches so the roots need to supply fewer nutrients and less moisture to the tree.
